Every great idea begins with a simple question. Ours was: why does water — the most essential thing in our lives — get the least attention in the spaces we live and work in?
It was early 2021. The world had slowed down, and like many families across India, Shubhra Jain Khandelwal and Gautam Khandelwal found themselves noticing something most of us quietly ignore — in homes, apartments, and buildings alike, plumbing ages, water quality deteriorates, and somewhere along the way, we simply accept it as normal.
But it isn't normal. And it certainly isn't good enough.
India's cities were changing fast. Homes were getting smarter, buildings more premium, lifestyles more discerning. Real estate had never been more valuable. Yet the water infrastructure behind the walls — the very foundation of a healthy living and working environment — remained neglected and underserviced across the board.
That gap was the opportunity. More importantly, it was the responsibility.
The Green Water Company was born from that conviction — quietly conceived during lockdown, formally brought to life by end of 2021. The mission was clear: to give homeowners, housing societies, and commercial spaces access to expert water care.
